WORKSHOP MECHANICS – PRODUCTION
We are recruiting several Workshop Mechanics to work within our dedicated production facility.
Barrus has created one of the world’s largest and most modern custom-engine building facilities, allowing the Company to build products in single units to large volume production runs. Comprehensive test facilities enable the delivery of fully tested, run-in and first serviced engines. Barrus can also offer customers an engine overhaul facility, extending the life of significant capital assets.
Main responsibilities include building new engines, servicing, and rebuilding engines to correct build standards, engine dynamometer testing and recording and producing test data.
The successful candidate will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanics or Engineering (or equivalent), have in-depth experience of mechanical engineering and petrol/diesel engines and have a minimum of at least 2-3 years practical experience in a busy workshop/production environment. Experience in running engine dynamometers is desirable. Strong team working and communication skills are essential.
