Barrus Leads UK Marine Engine Market at Southampton International Boat Show 2026

Bicester, UK — 1 October 2026: Barrus celebrated an outstanding Southampton International Boat Show, with its marine brands leading both the outboard and inboard engine markets in the UK.

Mercury, distributed by Barrus, powered more than half of all engines displayed in the show's main open display areas, achieving a market share of 54%. Yanmar, also distributed by Barrus, was the most preferred inboard engine brand, achieving a 40.5% market share of engines installed in boats on display.

These results meant Barrus represented the leading brand in both the outboard and inboard engine sectors at the international exhibition.
