Barrus Showcases Next-Generation Yanmar and John Deere Power Solutions at Hillhead 2026

Barrus Enjoys Successful Hillhead 2026 Despite the Extreme Heat.
Barrus has hailed Hillhead 2026 as another highly successful exhibition after welcoming visitors to their stand at Buxton Quarry, where the company showcased the latest industrial engine technology from Yanmar and John Deere.

Despite the exceptionally hot conditions, this year's event attracted more than 20,000 visitors and over 600 exhibitors from across the material processing sector including quarrying, construction and recycling.

As the UK distributor for Yanmar and John Deere industrial engines, Barrus presented a comprehensive range of Stage V compliant diesel engines, demonstrating the latest developments in power, efficiency and emissions technology for off-highway equipment manufacturers and operators.

The display featured Yanmar's L Series, 3TNV76, 3TNV80FT, 4TNV98CT, and 4TN107 engines, alongside John Deere's JD4, JD14 and JD18 engines. Throughout the show, visitors had the opportunity to discuss their application requirements with Barrus' experienced technical and service team, gaining expert advice on engine integration, performance and long-term support.

"Hillhead continues to be one of the most important events
for the quarrying and construction industries."

Richard Egan, Head of Industrial at Barrus, commented: "Hillhead continues to be one of the most important events in the calendar for the quarrying and construction industries, and despite the extreme temperatures and dust, the show proved to be another excellent event. We had some very positive conversations with both existing customers and new contacts. It was a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate the strengths of both the Yanmar and John Deere engine ranges and discuss how Barrus can support customers with complete power solutions."

The dedicated aftermarket area with Mike Nyren, Head of Aftermarket, enabled customers to discuss genuine parts availability, servicing and support throughout the product lifecycle.

The stand provided some much-needed shade and a meeting point throughout the show, with visitors enjoying refreshments while discussing current projects, future equipment developments and the latest engine technologies.

There was also the ability to donate to the Royal British Legion in exchange for a Yanmar or John Deere branded cap and Barrus raised £100 for this fantastic cause over the three days.

Richard Egan commented: "We'd like to thank everyone who took the time to visit the stand, and we look forward to continuing the conversations and supporting customers with their engine requirements in the months ahead."

Barrus looks forward to building on the new relationships established during the event and continuing to supply industry-leading Yanmar and John Deere engine solutions across the UK and Ireland.
