Barrus is a leading distributor of premium outdoor power equipment and innovative robotic mowing solutions. As demand for robotic technology continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Robotic Workshop Technician to join our Outdoor Division.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys problem-solving, working with cutting-edge technology, and building strong relationships with customers and dealers. You will play a key role in supporting our robotic mower product range through technical support, repairs, installations, dealer training, and product development activities.

What You'll Be Doing

In this varied and hands-on role, you will:

  • Diagnose, service and repair robotic mower products.
  • Provide technical support to dealers and end users via telephone, email and online support platforms.
  • Carry out warranty assessments and fault investigations.
  • Support robotic mower installations and provide technical guidance to customers and dealers.
  • Deliver product and technical training to dealers and distribution partners.
  • Work closely with manufacturers on product testing, technical issues and new product introductions.
  • Attend trade shows, dealer events and exhibitions, representing Barrus and demonstrating our products.
  • Build strong relationships across our dealer network to ensure excellent customer service and technical capability.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking someone with a strong technical background who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer support.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience in the lawn and garden machinery sector or a related mechanical/electrical engineering environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills covering both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience servicing and repairing machinery or equipment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The confidence to provide technical advice and deliver training.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Experience with robotic mower technology would be advantageous, but we also welcome applications from candidates with transferable engineering skills and a willingness to learn.
