SHIPPING & COSTINGS CO-ORDINATOR

We are currently recruiting for a Shipping & Costings Co-ordinator to support our import and goods receipting function.

Operating across three diverse market sectors: Marine, Garden, and Industrial, Barrus is one of the UK’s leading importers and distributors of engines, engine-powered equipment, garden tools, and accessories. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, administrative, and organisational skills, be methodical and accurate with thorough attention to detail, be flexible and self-motivated, and be able to work independently across multiple departments.  You will have the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.  Ideally, you will have knowledge of import and stock receipting functions and have at least one year's experience in a busy shipping office environment.

Key duties include:

• Maintain company shipping list of consignments due, cleared for delivery, and receipt date.  Ensure divisions have all required documentation.  Chase for prompt closure of all shipping list records.
• Clearance of consignments at port,
• Receipting of spare parts to stock, including application of duty and sundry charges.  Update Goods In Register on completion and chase open/outstanding items.
• Maintain relationships with freight forwarders, as well as progress chase and solve problems as required.
• Preparation of freight volume and cost analysis for review.
• Costing, receipting and closure of all workshop job cards.
• Manage all logged goods invoices and ensure correct delegation routes and approval processes.
• Companywide, ensure correct processes and procedures are followed for goods receiving and job cards. Review and look for continual improvements in all areas.
