Barrus announce new Marine General Manager at Southampton Boat Show

E. P. Barrus Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Plant as General Manager for the Marine Diesel Division.

Robert has gained extensive experience within the marine leisure and the marine commercial diesel engine sectors working with major international companies including MAN Diesel Engines and Volvo Penta. In the nine years prior to joining Barrus, Robert was employed as Sales Engineer for MAN with responsibility for OEM business including Sunseeker and Princess. At Volvo he held the position of Aftersales Technical Service Inspector where he was responsible for developing OEM business in addition to servicing the dealer network on the south coast.

Robert is relishing the challenge his new position will bring, “It is a great time to join Barrus which is going from strength to strength across all its Sales Divisions. I am looking forward to working with well-respected brands including Yanmar, Mercury Diesel and Mercury MerCruiser and contributing to their continued growth and development.” comments Robert.

Robert will still, hopefully have time for his treasured Triumph Bonneville motorcycle which he manages to ride when he is not doing DIY at home.
