Since its introduction to the UK by Barrus in 2018, the Hisun brand of all-terrain UTVs and ATVs has gained considerable momentum, with the electric-powered Vector E1 proving popular in this growing segment of the UTV market.

The Hisun Vector E1 4x4 is a mid-size UTV which provides quiet performance thanks to its powerful 48 volt, 27hp drivetrain. Built for performance and stability, the Vector E1 features include 4-wheel independent nitrogen suspension, 4-wheel drive and 4-wheel disc brakes. With maintenance-free Discover^TM EV Traction Dry Cell Battery technology, the Vector E1 boasts an industry-best run time, delivering around 45 miles from a single charge. Hisun has incorporated superior critical drivetrain components including the Kinetek^TM Motor, Delta QTM ICI200 Chargers, and 450 Amp Sevcon^TMGen IV controllers.

“Our strategy is to build a strong dealer network offering expert advice and the highest levels of customer service,” commented Roger Suckling, Sales Manager for the Vehicle Division at Barrus.

“We now have Hisun sales and service dealers from Scotland to Cornwall and Wales to Southern Ireland.”

“The Vector E1 Electric UTV is being sold into caravan parks, yurt and glamping parks and privately- owned country estates,” explained Roger. “Customers like the vehicles compact size and great turning circle, making it agile in tight spaces. The quiet, electric motor is also a key attribute, particularly around animals.”

Barrus dealer Hunts Engineering Ltd, a well-established company based in Halford, Warwickshire who provide agricultural, grounds care and garden machinery sales, service and spare parts has reported excellent feedback from their Hisun customers.

 Jeff Deane responsible for General Sales & Customer Support at Hunts Engineering Ltd explained, “We have supplied a Hisun Vector E1 to a customer to help him to get around in the winter. The machine has ticked all the boxes, enabling him to get around his land in the winter and enjoy peace and quiet. His gardener also uses it as a working machine complete with a cargo box.

A local Equestrian Centre has also found the quietness of the machine a real bonus as they can easily talk to visitors as they show them around and the horses are not spooked.”

The Vehicle Division has been expanding into the event hire market supplying electric machines into the hire companies who provide their services to shows, festivals and events throughout the UK.

The Hisun Vector E1 can also be registered for road use. Fitted with road lights as standard, there is the option to fit a glass screen and wiper kit
