Barrus strengthens Marine Equipment Team

Barrus has announced the appointment of Mark Hart as Sales Manager for the Marine Equipment Division, supporting the continued growth within the company’s Marine Division.

Mark has spent almost all his career in the marine industry in a variety of sales and marketing roles for the recreational, commercial and military sectors. For more than twenty years, Mark held several roles at Zodiac International initially as a Sales Representative for leisure boats through the UK dealer network, managing the Zodiac UK subsidiary and responsible for the distributor network for Zodiac in Northern Europe. Latterly Mark has worked for UK marine safety companies in the position of Sales Director for both Ocean Safety and Survitec.

In his new role, Mark will have full sales management responsibility for some of the leading names in the marine industry including International Paints, Guidi, Talamex, Barton and Glomex, just a few of the brands that make up the extensive Barrus Marine Equipment portfolio.

“Life really does go full circle,” commented Mark. “Spending the early days of my career at Zodiac it is exciting to join Barrus and see the progression of the brand in the UK. I am relishing the challenge of growing the extensive range of brands and products available from the Marine Equipment Division. The marine team at Barrus are well-respected and I am excited to join and work with them in contributing to the future success of the division.”

Mark spends much of his leisure time out on the water and he is a keen angler enjoying fly and sea fishing. His love of the outdoors also includes walking and he has completed the Three Peaks Challenge.
