Where strength meets comfort, the new LT range from Cub Cadet
Published on: 23/03/2017
Cub Cadet’s new entry-level FORCE SERIES, is perfect solution for gardeners who are looking for power, performance and durability. With Lawnmowers, Mini-Riders and Lawn Tractors (LT) within the FORCE SERIES, there is something for everyone who appreciates a powerful machine at an affordable price point.
The LT, lawn tractor range consists of six models, all of which are extraordinarily versatile, comfortable and efficient. The range is made up of three sub-ranges; LT1, LT2 and LT3, each of which has two models, one rear discharge and one side discharge.
The LT rear discharge models benefit from the Direct Collect® system which transports clippings into the large 240-litre collection bag in the shortest, most efficient way. The integrated handle is conveniently located to make emptying the grass bag from the driver’s seat quick and easy.
All LT lawn tractors are 3-in-1 option machines, with the rear collection direct collect® models equipped to collect and discharge the grass cuttings, with a mulch kit available whilst the side discharge models 3-in-1 options include a 240-litre grass bag and high lift blades as an optional accessory.
All LT models benefit from the ability to cover large areas in a short space of time, and a time-saving step up from Mini-Riders thanks to their wider cutting decks, ranging from 92cm /36” to 107cm / 42”. All LT model cutting decks are adjustable through 5 height positions, from 30mm to 95mm and are equipped with 2 anti-scalp deck wheels. The frames are made of strong steel construction, which is fully welded and powder coated for added durability, whilst the step-though design makes it easier for the user to mount and dismount the tractor. The LT1 and LT2 models feature a steel front pivoting axle, ensuring that all four wheels stay firmly on the ground at all times, even on uneven surfaces, whilst the wider cutting deck LT3 models have a cast iron front axle.
Both LT1 models (LT1 NR92 and LT1 NS96) featureshift on the go transmatic transmission, whilst the LT2 and LT3 models provide a very smooth and exact drive though hydrostatic transmission, which means that users can control the velocity as well as the forward and reverse speed continuously, with no clutching or shifting required. The rear discharge models (LT2 NR92 and LT3 PR105) are foot-pedal controlled, whilst the side discharge, LT2 NS96 and LT3 PS107, are controlled by hand levers.
Featuring efficient 420cm3 single cylinder OHV Cub Cadet engines, the LT1 and LT2 models benefit from efficient power delivery and reduced emissions. The LT3 models come equipped with powerful 656cc V-Twin Briggs and Stratton Intek engines, as well as benefitting from RevTek functionality, enabling mowing in reverse.
Nick Hills, General Manager for Cub Cadet UK, said: “These Cub Cadet LT lawn tractors are the perfect entry level machines for anyone looking for perfect mowing performance, exceptional cutting and incredibly responsive handling at a price that is not prohibitive to those upgrading to a lawn tractor”.
