Barrus showcase Mariner engines and emergency rescue equipment at the Emergency Services Show

Barrus is recognised worldwide as a leading custom-engine builder capable of designing and developing marine engines and accessories to meet the specific operational requirements of its professional customers. The team has the experience and knowledge to solve the stringent requirements and applications of specialist organisations including commercial operators, professional rescue services, and the military and other government organisations.

Barrus has made a substantial investment to create one of the world’s largest and most modern custom-engine building facilities at the company’s headquarters in Bicester, Oxfordshire. This enables Barrus to build engines in single units to production runs in excess of 100. Barrus’ test facilities enable delivery of fully tested run-in and first serviced engines.

Mariner 2-stroke outboards, the commercial user’s first choice will be showcased at this year’s Emergency Services Show, plus emergency equipment including salt-water rescue pumps.

Mariner outboard engines have been at the forefront of the vital services provided by the countries emergency services teams providing reliable power for rescue operations in devastating floodwaters. Since 2009, Barrus has also been supplying Mariner engines and SeaSearch inflatable boats to Watersafe who provide response and support to the official emergency services in a range of situations.
